It’s hard to believe it’s the last few days of 2025. On Thursday, we welcome a brand-new year, 2026. To be honest, I have not given 2026 a great deal of thought, I am afraid to considering how 2025 has gone. Like any new year, there is a lot of mystery and anxiety. We will have to see how it goes. I will say I have plenty of uncertainty. How are you feeling about things as we turn the page and begin a new story?
I will have to say many want to hold onto a past that isn’t working out too well for some. The future needs to come and in a hurry.
Rosh Hashanah is the birthday of the universe, the day G‑d created Adam and Eve, and it’s celebrated as the head of the Jewish year. To all my Jewish friends have a happy and sweet new year. Have a blessed celebration.
It’s time for a new calendar filled with dates and opportunities. We all have a new slate. There is something about a new year that provides some hope well I hope it does. So it’s 2023 and we all move forward in time and space. 2023 please be good to us, OK thanks.
Rosh Hashanah , the Jewish new year, is a fall holiday, taking place at the beginning of the month of Tishrei , which is actually the seventh month of the Jewish year (counting from Nisan in the spring). It is both a time of rejoicing and of serious introspection, a time to celebrate the completion of another year while also taking stock of one’s life.
To all my friends celebrating may this be a time of blessing and contemplation. May this be a year of new beginnings and love for all.
Rosh Hashanah, literally meaning the “beginning [of] the year” is the Jewish New Year. It’s celebrated by praying in synagogue, personal reflection, and hearing the shofar. To my Jewish friends may this be a blessed time for you and yours.
