I love my Jewish friends and antisemitism is morally and ethically wrong. With that being said Israel’s response to the attack of Hamas on October 7th has far exceeded what happened to them. Every day people in Palestine are suffering and entire communities are reduced to rubble. This past week relief workers from World Central Kitchen were killed by Israeli weapons of mass destruction. I think Israel has become no better than those who have attacked them. My hope is for all aggressions to cease and the hostages held by Hamas be sent home. This bloody war needs to end. May God be with Palestine. May God forgive Israel for losing their way.
(Note: I will not engage in arguments on this issue. If you want to unfriend me I am fine with that. Thank you for connecting with me.
I have made it known I am a supporter of Palestine because I know they are children of God too. With that being said, I have love for Jewish people. I have Jewish friends who are sad about what is going on. Recent acts of antisemitism are only making matters worse. Citizens of both places are caught in the middle of an ancient struggle they did not start but still goes on to this day.
It is my hope that cooler heads will prevail, and that the violence will stop. It is terribly tragic to see what is happening but please find a way forward that does not include anti-Semitic acts that means more bloodshed. Let there be peace that is lasting.
I am in support of the people of Palestine. While most of the people I know are supporting Israel I am seeing things from a different perspective. There is a difference between Biblical Israel and the current State has only been in existence since 1948. The arrogance of modern Israel’s government is stunning. What is happening there is akin to Apartheid. Of course, this is a highly ancient and complex issue with no easy solutions it seems. This does not mean I am anti-Jew because some good friends are Jewish, I will probably take heat for this but the people of Palestine deserve better and they are God’s children too. Palestinians love their children too.
