Oh God, please be with the sovereign nation of Canada as they go to the polls on Monday to elect members of parliament and the prime minister. May everyone who votes be safe and secure. May the best people be elected to move Canada into a prosperous era where the country will do good things for the world and one another.
Today is the funeral of Pope Francis in Vatican City. He will be very much missed by Catholics and non-Catholics alike.
I am not Catholic, but I am a fan of The Pope and the Catholic Church. Pope Francis was priest of the people. He focused his ministry on taking care of people on the margins, the migrants, the LGBTQ person and importantly the poor. The church universal should use Francis’ example of being on the streets, ministering to the hearts and souls of people who need it most. The Catholic Church needs to continue on the track of what Francis did during his papacy. Rest in power, Pope Francis.
Good people it’s Friday. Let’s celebrate the weekend is coming and we all could use the recharge. I hope you all are doing the best you can. Love and peace to you all.
Today is Good Friday and it’s a day of political violence that somehow feels relevant today. It’s remembering a bloody day where one man gave everything for everyone then, now and forever.
The violence inflicted upon Jesus was brutal. It doesn’t make sense, none of it does. Jesus was fulfilling his mission and the greatest act of love he could give for humanity.
I think the power of love that we see on Good Friday is what Christ wants us to reflect. It’s not about power over people it’s about liberation and giving extravagantly to a hurting world that needs it most.
At this moment, America is out of order. Lots of things are being broken and people are not safe. It’s amazing how much crazy shit is going on. People are fighting back, but still there is a sense of hopelessness among many. One can only do what they can do to make things better. Stuff cannot be ignored anymore.
