February is Black History Month. It’s also strange that this important celebration falls on the shortest month of the year. People of African heritage have made significant contributions to the world, don’t forget that. Thank you to all whom we honor this month for making the world better for everyone. Some in power would want you to forget that bit of information.
I’ve been wearing my heart on my sleeve lately. I’m a bleeding heart for justice, peace, and faith. There’s lots of stuff going on that is not fair and lots of people are getting hurt by it in one way or another. This is what happens when you are paying attention and seeing what is going on in the world. Speaking out is needed I think.
For years, I have waited until the last minute or close to the last minute to file taxes. It’s something I hate to do. However, I did something different this year and filed them in January after getting our W2 forms. The good news is that a refund is coming our way. It’s better than paying if you ask me. It feels good to get that done, strange I know.
Hey, guess what???? The Internet is full of opinions and commentary. Like noses, we all have opinions about one thing or another. Some opinions are informed and helpful, while others are not. I don’t believe everyone feels the same way about everything. You look at what people are saying and it comes from a place of one’s experiences and values. No matter where you go on the Interweb someone has something to say. It’s OK to have opinions, just try not to be hurtful or personal in expressing them. I am certain that whoever reads this will have some feedback for me.
