There are many things you come across online or in life in general that you wish you had never seen. For me yesterday was one of those situations where I saw something that was very surprising. The things that you can’t “unsee” seem to stick with you for a while but soon become a fleeting memory. Now some things you come across can disappoint you and leaves a longer impression.
The old saying goes that a picture can paint a thousand words and you know that is timeless wisdom. Maybe we need to look at things a new way or get new things to look at. Don’t forget to stop and smell the lovely roses (but scent is a sense that is for another post)
See what I mean?
The world is going by way too fast. You have to pay attention to everything around you. It’s important to be aware of ones surroundings as to not get hurt or in trouble. Your senses are needed daily to keep you in tune with what is going on. Some things you just have to keep your eye on so you can be aware of the things that are happening in real-time. If we are not aware something good, something special can be forgotten and that is when sadness is the greatest thing you feel. Be aware because your life depends on it, every day.

When things in your world smell funny or bad it takes you off your game. It’s amazing how the sense of smell can impact your life. The guessing game of where the smell is coming from can drive you crazy. Smell is one of those things that can inform you about how to approach things and keep you safe. Sometimes smell is a call to action to clean something up or clear it away.
I love the smell of something baking in the oven, pipe tobacco, flowers, and other things of comfort. Smell is a powerful sales tool too. I’m not a fan of the aroma of fresh cut grass or things you find in a garbage or bananas (except in banana bread). Smell can definitely change your mood and how you feel.
Here is to smelling something good today, like coffee, cinnamon rolls or perfume/cologne or perhaps clear air.
