The TV series Orphan Black ended its 5 year run and it was an amazing ride featuring four of many clones. These women were as unique and individual as you can find. The way they came into being and the story of their lives was one where they wanted the right to live their lives on their own terms without fear from the group who created them. Life can come in different forms and regardless of how these clones were brought into the world they also have the right to live and love who they wanted. Yes this is fiction but it tells a larger story and an important narrative. Super actress Tatiana Maslany played all the clones and she has reminded me of how the future is indeed female. Clone club forever.
Last night a few of my favorites won Emmys for their work in Television. Diversity seems to be the rule in Television these days with many people of color and orientation being nominated. “Game of Thrones” and “The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story” won big. My favorite reality show “The Voice” won as well. Jimmy Kimmel did a great job as host. I would like to see some different winners in Lead Actress in a Comedy as well as Variety Show.
I was happy to see these fine thespians of the “small screen” win last night.
- Tatiana Maslany – Orphan Black
- Sarah Paulson – The People vs. OJ Simpson
- Kate McKinnon – Saturday Night Live
- Louie Anderson – Baskets
- Jeffrey Tambor – Transparent
- Courtney B. Vance – The People vs. OJ Simpson
- Dame Maggie Smith – Downton Abbey
- Tiny Fey and Amy Poehler – Hosting Saturday Night Live
For the full slate of winners visit Entertainment Weekly for more information.

Its the season 3 premiere. Happy the clone club is back. Tatiana Maslany is unreal in her performances in this great show.
