In 1995 I got my first serious job out of college working for a TV station. My first big purchase was a new computer and on that PC was Windows 95 where I learned much about what I know about computers.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Windows 95, the operating system that changed how we interface with the personal computer. My computer at the time had 1 gig of hard drive space and had plenty of room for Win 95 and for file storage. These days 1 gig can be found on a device the size of a postage stamp.

It was on that computer running Windows where I first got online to discover the wonders of the World Wide Web through Mindspring my Internet Service Provider. Really its hard to believe its been 20 years. Time marches on in technology and life.
