This is great news for my LGBTQ friends who are having a rough time with the current administration rolling back protections in many areas of life. It’s truly a shame that people who are just living their lives and really bothering no one have to go through the pain of discrimination in any form.

Have you ever noticed that when famous people issue statements, or answer difficult interview questions, that they often say the same things? It’s almost as if there is a rule book somewhere, filled with excuses.

Macy’s has been a retail giant and an American institution for generations. A lot of retailers are facing similar decisions. Although there is not a a Macy’s where I live this still has a significant impact in how we buy goods and where does this model of store fit in a highly online world.

AT&T and Time Warner have agreed to an $85 billion deal — one of the biggest media tie-ups ever. The move, announced Saturday evening, will help AT&T expand beyond wireless and Internet service into programming. Time Warner is the parent of CNN, TNT, HBO, the Warner Bros. studio, and other channels and websites. AT&T to buy Time Warner in media mega-deal – Oct. 22, 2016

This move caught me off guard. Granted I wasn’t looking for it though. AT&T and TimeWarner are two of America’s largest distribution and media companies. I am not sure this is good for competition or for diversity in opinions. We will have to see how this shakes out or even gets approval by the federal government. AT&T recently bought DirecTV and TimeWarner was bought by AOL years ago and spun AOL off to independent operation. Again, wow, this is huge!

CoverGirl made history with the appointment of 17-year-old James Charles as its newest spokesmodel—or, shall we say, CoverBoy—to work with brand ambassador Katy Perry. Meet CoverGirl’s First Ever CoverBoy, James Charles | TIME

This story is inspiring. For a young man to pursue life, liberty and happiness on his terms and not by the traditional rules is refreshing. His chosen art medium is cosmetics and for him to embrace it fully speaks to his credibility. To me as long as he is doing what he loves its cool with me.
