No two people will agree on 100% of all issues. I live in a area where I am a a minority in terms of my liberal leanings. Granted there are others who are more liberal than me so I might come across as a moderate. Getting over the fear of disappointing people when they find out what you think is something I have to deal with. My friends I want there to be a place for people like me in the community I live in but the last thing I want is conflict. People who think like me face ridicule for thinking different, divergent. In the back of my mind is there is a chance some friendships might end but if they can’t deal with a different point of view then are they worth keeping around in the first place?
If a difference of opinion ends a friendship, it was never really a friendship in the first place. Just my two cents

I enjoy people with different views and opinions from mine. It keeps life interesting. I cannot stand people that think just because we are different, we cannot have mutual respect and admiration. I’m not a sheep n neither are you lol

Some people can disagree with me who are my friends, but if they want to fight about it or call names, then we are done. Even the friends I often disagree with don’t hang out as often as my friends who at least have an open mind, and that is only sensible.

you stick to your guns on your ideals. they aren’t much of a friend if they terminate a friendship over petty reasons. I would lose no sleep over their loss.

No! Friends can agree to disagree and still be friends.

I have friends who are conservative, and I’m not. We just don’t talk about politics. My brother on the other hand is extremely conservative and I refuse to discuss politics with him. He always brings it up even though I’ve told him we will never agree. We really don’t talk much anymore because he just wants to argue about politics. It’s very sad.
