Deaths In America – Terrorism vs. Gun Violence

This graph is astonishing and sad at the same time. Something needs to be done about gun violence in our country. The terror at home is a serious problem. I get that citizens have the right to bear arms but I am not sure the founding fathers could have envisioned people with their own private arsenal. We live in such a wild west place now that it is truly scary.

  1. I could not agree more! It’s refreshing to see more people, especially grown adults who for whatever reason tend to be against gun control, speaking up. I live in Arizona and here guns are very common and to see someone walking around the grocery store with a gun on them is not peculiar. My family owns a gun for self defense and while I am absolutely petrified of guns and would rather not have one in the house, I can respect that if you have your gun license, you can have a gun. With that said, though, I think guns are being given out far too freely and easily. Some my argue that gun control won’t do any good because criminals will just attain them illegally, but I think it’s worth a shot. With the amount of shootings we have here in the US the first gun control can do is just not make a difference. We don’t have any other solutions, though, so at this point we can’t be picky with what we want to do in order to put an end to gun violence.
