Blogging is a noun and a verb. It is something you do and is something you are. Your number of followers do not determine your value as a blogger because I think the quality of your connections is what matters most. Some bloggers have a large following while others have a few friends and neighbors tagging along. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have thousands of people visiting daily. A blog that comes from the heart will tell a great story and will bring people along organically. Don’t worry about your stats especially if you are an amateur. It’s good to celebrate milestones of people following but don’t get hung up on that. Every blog has a place in cyberspace.
No two bloggers are exactly alike. Their mission and purpose are determined by the writer and curator. I think individuality matters. Be yourself within your blog and create posts in your own way. Be sure your blog looks alive and tells the reader something about yourself.
As a person who runs a personal blog I am not out to be wildly popular but to share my message with all who will hear it and will connect with me. Being happy with what you have and be proud of your blog.
The one thing I always say is keep on blogging!
I agree with you totally; especially the part where you said your number of followers doesn’t determine your value as a blogger because I’ve seen bloggers with thousands of followers and they barely get any likes on their post. Quality is what truly matters

I was discouraged recently because my views totally imploded. It was due partly by the fact I had to change my domain address and not all the connections got changed fast enough. It was also because I was depressed by that whole situation and spent less time writing and even less time reading other people’s blogs…including yours. But I realize I need to just pick up and heed your little sign there. Thanks for the pep talk! 🙂

It happened to me also when I changed from WordPress in to my Domain. But people do come when good articles are written. Yes some picture posts do attract a lot of likes. But I enjoyed writing about My Journey of Wellness from “Low Moods to Complete Recovery” especially “To Encourage Others” Now I am writing on Many other Topics. You are welcome to have a look to see How I went along to be “A Healer as well” Many Blessings coming Your way for Good Health, Happiness and Prosperity. From Brisbane Australia.
