Tom Petty, one of the great musical talents in America passed away at age 66 today. I grew up listening to him on the radio and his videos on MTV were terrific. Rest In Harmony Tom.
(It was officially announced late on Monday evening in California that Tom had passed away. Earlier reports had indicated he did but had not after some incorrect reporting.)

Several media outlets are confirming from LAPD that he did pass away this afternoon. Sad.

I was listening to that song just this morning. I am beyond saddened, first the events in Vegas and now this…😰😥😭

This poor man. Last I read (just moments ago) he wasn’t dead yet..only mostly dead. Thankfully, the media has him done for already, so people can come up with wonderful memorializing.
