The Breast Cancer Awareness Month, marked in countries across the world every October, helps to increase attention and support for the awareness, early detection, and treatment as well as palliative care of this disease.
Both women and men can have breast cancer. Early detection is key in beating it. Take care of yourself good people and encourage those in your life to seek treatment if they feel like they might have this dreaded disease.

Having fought a personal battle with breast cancer, I have mixed feelings about all this pink stuff every October. In fact, I have a blog series coming up this month on that very topic.

I hope I haven’t offended you. I think the pink is a great color code for the cause but so much of what is raised by the sale of it doesn’t go to research for a cure.

No you haven’t offended me at all! Awareness is a good thing. I just question the sincerity behind all of the pink ribbons. And when I see screening guidelines that suggest clinical breast exams and breast self exams are unnecessary, it really gets me going!
