Planes, Trains, And Automobiles a Solid Thanksgiving Movie

This movie is a Thanksgiving Day classic. Martin and Candy are comedy gold. Sometimes getting home isn’t always easy or direct or free from complications. It also means making new friends along the way.

A Turkey Dinner

Thanksgiving 2024. A traditional spread of turkey and the trimmings. Now it’s time for a nap.

It’s Thanksgiving Day

In America, it’s Thanksgiving Day. It’s a time to be with family and friends. It’s also a day for food and football. It is a day of celebration. With all that said, I am thankful for what I have. On this feast day, it’s good to remember that this day isn’t so good for some of us. For some, it’s a day when grief is still very fresh in their hearts and minds. No matter where or how you observe may this be a day of peace and love. Give thanks.

I Got Friendship Bracelets

I felt I needed to outwardly express my support for various social justice causes. The friendship bracelet is one way many have found to do just that. I got mine in the mail today from an African-American woman maker who owns her own business. Thank you, Kwonnie Robinson, for your good work. Check out her website, KEM Jewelry to order your own.

I chose the word Hope on my blue friendship bracelet because hope can be a dangerous word for those who oppress and advance hate. Everyone has to have hope because it’s good and keeps us going. The brown beaded one is a reminder to tend the soil of the fields of the world we live in.

Seasonal Blues

I have depression and this is a season where I feel the blues. Much of it has to do with the losses of a parent and my maternal grandparents. Changes in life like getting older can be a struggle. Having a soft heart is a good thing but sometimes it can get the best of you. This is not a fun time of year for me. I thank those such as my missus who try to help me get through it all. Now is the time to do the best you can or something like that.
