Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Follow Up On My Ear Doctor Appointment

Well, I went to the ear doctor today and it was a easily fixed problem. I had a load of wax and other stuff probably in my ear that was clogging my ear canal. The doctor cleared it out and then I took a hearing test to be sure things are good. My test revealed I have the hearing of a teenager which is a relief. I am hearing better and I am having to get used to it but that is a welcome problem.

Hearing It All

I have had some hearing issues for awhile. Today I’m getting my ears checked out. Not being able to hear clearly in my left ear has made life difficult for me. In my life hearing it all is important for a lot of reasons.

Being Myself

No one should force their idea of masculinity on me or anyone else. Being myself is what I want to be and sometimes it means being a little feminine.

What Ya Say

What ya say matters in the world, perhaps now more than ever. It can be a challenge to keep up with ever changing social conventions. People will trip up and make mistakes in what they say. Its important to educate and have some grace. I say stuff that can be seen as insensitive and perhaps backwards, yeah believe it or not. Being contrite is important and changing ones heart and mind can be a great way to advance understanding and peace. To me this is not political correctness its just being polite and loving your neighbor as you love yourself.
