Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

All Saints, Too Many Saints

Too many saints left this world before they were ready. Some when on Earth were just doing normal things like going to a concert, in the classroom, worshiping, eating a meal, running. Then in a blink of an eye they were in eternity, heaven, the afterlife with others who had gone on before them. Many of those saints had the potential for a long life ahead but they were taken out by a bullet, a car, a bomb or perhaps through self-inflicted harm. The world is a mean place for saints who just wanted to live their lives just like you and I do in this moment of time. Life is indeed precious for all saints past, present and in the future. Truly its a time when all saints must be cherished in every stage of existence. May the peace of God be with us in the chaos may the saints be taken home and welcomed and loved until we see them again.

A Ramble About Guns

The 2nd Amendment in the US Constitution (the one about gun ownership) was not set up for the modern arsenal we have today. More, powerful guns are a problem not answer. Too many people are dying because weapons of mass destruction are becoming easier to get it seems. Why make something that is guaranteed to kill on a large scale?

Good Sunday, Good People

I hope you my friends are having a great weekend. Whatever you are up to today I hope it’s awesome. Remember to love others as you love yourself. Have a super Sunday. Love and peace.

Fall Back, Daylight Savings Time Ends Sunday, Set Your Clocks Back

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour before you turn in tonight. For much of America Daylight Savings Time is ending giving them an “extra hour” of sleep.
