Rambling About Mobile Blogging

Blogging on ones smartphone can be a great way to post on the run. A downside to it is the auto correct feature that takes words you meant to say and turns it into something else. The result of that is a post that doesn’t make sense if you don’t proofread it, which I am guilty of doing. When blogging on your phone keep your posts short and be sure you proof as you go along. I encourage mobile blogging because its a great way to capture the events of life in real time. Your phone can be your friend in blogging.

A Politics Free Weekend, Are You With Me?

I am committed to observing a weekend free of political discussion on my blog and social media. This would be start at sun down on Friday. There’s been too much of it this week and a break from it all would be nice. So no talk of elections or candidates or anything else regarding the race for The White House on Saturday or Sunday. If something serious happens then maybe a blurb, but otherwise politics is off the table. Are you with me? Let’s do this.

Thursday, March 3, 2016 – The Week Is Almost Done

Hey friends I hope you are having a great day. The weather here is yucky this afternoon but that seems to be the norm as of late. I am ready for some spring time weather I think. Winter seems to have come and gone without fanfare.

The weekend is coming up close. I am ready for it. Let’s finish the week strong.

#TBT Throwback Thursday: Rick Astley – Never Gonna Give You Up

This song was all over the place back when I was in high school. It has also made a comeback as a part of the modern meme scene. When you listen to this tune it hooks you instantly. It’s one of the classic hits of the era.

Instant Inquiry – High School Re-Do

Anyone ever think they would want to re-do high school or certain parts of your time as a teenager? Is there something you would want to change or do differently.

I would have worked harder on math because I suck at it. Then I would have tried to be more out there. I have the heart and soul of a servant and I wanted to do things to make my school better. Maybe I could have done other things too. Perhaps it was meant to be the way it was so I could be the person I am.

For me high school was about learning and succeeding though I had a learning disability. Socially I was a bit awkward but I embraced the friendships of those who were on the fringes. When you are a dork you are going to be drawn to fellow dorks. However I did gravitate to some on the “inside” who befriended me. Most of the time I was a total nerd who didn’t get invited to much. I don’t now come to think about it.

Let’s think about our experiences as they were and if we changed them would they change who we are now. That is kind of a “Back To The Future” style question.

BTW do you like the ginormous glasses and stache in my senior picture?
