It’s OK to be a fool or foolish sometimes. It is an admission you are human. We all try to be cool and appear as being perfect. No one is free of flaws and it makes us all more unique and special. Drop the tough act and allow yourself to be yourself. However that takes being vulnerable and finding out who you are and discovering that person who you are. One thing I will say is no matter what you have heard is that God indeed loves you just the way you are…paraphrased from Billy Joel of course.
Hello friends, I hope you are having a happy Saturday (or Sunday in some parts of the world) and enjoying the day. We are doing some shopping later today then heading to a celebration of a friend who graduated from theological seminary. She is becoming a pastor and it has been cool to see her journey as she answers her calling. This morning I fixed blueberry muffins and omelettes. Of course there is coffee, it wouldn’t be Saturday without it. Whatever you are up to have fun and make it awesome good people.
Thank you for being my blogging friend.
People who love science fiction are a passionate bunch. However many aren’t ready for the future as it comes to gender equality. The future will be one where women are the heroes to save the day, to hopefully wage peace and to make the big discoveries.
Some popular shows like Doctor Who have been rooted in a male dominant system where the lead character has only been a man. What if we imagined a woman in that role. If that were to happen what would be the reaction? Would people no longer be fans?
Is the idea of a science fiction character who is an alien taking a feminine form out of line with our still patriarchal mindset.
The future has yet to be written so if our fictional dreams of it are male centered then we are missing out on making things indeed better for all. Women should have a major role in science fiction and reality. The future will be it’s best when both men and women have equal roles in shaping it.
On social media it’s a good practice to check thoroughly the sources when you hear of matters of life and death. Spreading rumors and false info can be damaging. Social media can spread false information faster than ever before In matters of the demise of people, especially those you know be sure about the information you are getting. Life is too short to shorten the life of anyone based on bad or incomplete info
I was told in college English/Composition to write about something as long as you think it will get your point across. Personally I don’t have it in me to churn out 1000 words at the drop of a hat. My posts are short by design to inform you quickly about stuff going on and I will insert a picture to support what I am saying every so often. My experience on Tumblr told me that attention spans are short these days and I should adjust my blogging accordingly. I respect those who can do 1000-1500 words daily. However that is not me. This post ended at 112 words. Perhaps I can learn to do more.
