Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Sunday Reflection: Doing Good For Others

Some people need the care and comfort of others in times of need or distress. Whether it be sickness, incarceration, homelessness, and situations where people need assistance, we are all charged with acting. I believe that people have a connection that requires us to act on behalf of our higher power to give hope and grace.

In the season we are in, charity is needed more than ever but with COVID-19 added to the mix people need help even more. So much of what we are seeing is people losing their jobs, a change in the routines in life, and loss of life.

We must be about the work of making our world at this time the best it can be. It is not easy but when everyone comes together it can be something special.

My friends in this holiday season do not forget about others who need a hand. We have a responsibility to care for the least of these because when we do that we can make this mean world a better place.

Six Word Story

Finding joy can take some time.

A Saturday Thought Or Two

I was watching a cooking show today and it triggered a memory about my late father. Grief is something that is so damn weird when it hits you in such a random way. I hear it will do that from time to time. Today I wish I could hang with my dad. His spirit is with me I know but I wish he were still alive and kicking and would be well.

Hard to believe America’s thanksgiving is less than a week away. I will have more to say about that later on.

Covid/Coronavirus seems to be kicking our ass. I have hope that help is on the way.

Let’s have a good Saturday good people. Love and peace.

Transgender Day Of Remembrance #TDOR #Transgender

The Transgender Day of Remembrance, also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, has been observed annually on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. It is a day to draw attention to the continued violence endured by transgender people.

To all my Transgender friends and followers and other be safe. Take care. I see and support you.
