Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!
Leading up to Christmas I am going to be doing a series of posts featuring pictures of the toys of my childhood and youth. I was a child in the 1970s and came of age in the 1980s so some of you will be seeing these again or for the first time. I hope you will enjoy it.
The day is finally done and it’s still hard to believe we are in the month of December. Time has flown by it seems in the Coronaworld we live in. I hope you all are taking care of yourselves and others. Grace and peace as we go through the rest of the week.
You took a stand just by sitting wherever you wanted on a bus in Alabama back in December of 1955. That act of resistance started a civil rights movement that changed the world for so many people. You inspired so many to do the same things. You got into good trouble and because of you we are closer to becoming a better place to live.
Thank you Rosa Parks!
As far back as I can remember, I knew there was something wrong with our way of life when people could be mistreated because of the color of their skin.
Hello to December 2020. Let’s see what you have for all of us. It really hard to believe its the last month of this crappy year for many of us. Let’s finish on hopefully a good note.
