First off, the Iran-Israel conflict is between them and them alone. They have to work out their issues. The United States has no business in this, full stop! After what seems to have been endless war with Iraq and Afghanistan, getting into this regional conflict is something no one should have the stomach for.
There should have been some congressional approval and accountability here. Iran does not pose a direct threat to the United States. Our economic treatment of other countries has compromised our moral standing in the world in many ways. In many places, America is no longer is seen as the “good guys”.
The president said he would take two weeks to decide, which makes this decision to bomb questionable. Expect some sort of retaliation, and it won’t be safe for American’s to travel in the area.
America is an ally of Israel, but the current version of Israel isn’t what I support. While I support Jewish people, their government is something that isn’t worthy of getting behind. The people of Israel as described in scripture is something I have linkage too. Sure they weren’t perfect, but the hard life they endured is something more in tune with my own existence.
Iran has its vast problems with human rights since the Iranian Revolution. They aren’t to be let off the hook. A revolution seems to be cooking and that will be something if it happens. There is a lot to keep an eye on. Let’s hope for the best.
In any situation, peace must prevail. Peace through diplomacy is always best.

The first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere arrives with the solstice this year on Friday, June 20, 2025, 10:42 p.m. EDT. With Summer comes fun and sun and weird weather. Let’s stay cool as the heat warms all around us. Remember to hydrate because it’s good for you, and try not to get sunburned.
Meanwhile, I will be counting down the days until my favorite season, which is Fall.

Today is Juneteenth. This is an observance of the ending of slavery in the United States. It’s an important holiday for people in the African American community. In the days we live in, we have to recognize that American history cannot be written without the uncomfortable truths of slavery, including black history. These days, some are seeking to erase the events that liberated a people who suffered greatly and labored under horrible conditions. There must be atonement for the sin of slavery and a vow to never repeat it. Unfortunately, there are people in this country who are “free” who do hard labor for very low wages in oppressive conditions. Juneteenth is about liberation and about real freedom of self-determination without chains and fear and violence.
Science, intelligence, compassion, spirituality, and empathy can solve a lot of problems. We must embrace those values if we are to survive as a human family.
