The World Today
Today is the anniversary of the January 6, 2021 riots on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. It looks like Trump got away with that one. Also, congress certified Trump’s election in November 2024. All of that sucks. I hate Donald Trump.
Justin Trudeau announced he is stepping down as Canada’s prime minister and Labour Party leader. I like Justin, he’s cool. I don’t relish the Conservative Party leader Pierre Polievere being elected in March or April.
I am sure there are other things to be in a tizzy about. I don’t think I want to hear them. But the day isn’t over yet.

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?
I find it easy to talk about the past because I have already been there. Memories can be fuel for conversation. Nostalgia can be a powerful thing. Retro things like media and culture can be comforting. The problem comes when you want to live in the past. That can inhibit growth and change that can be healthy.
It’s really hard to think about the future when there seems to be uncertainty and fear. Sure, it’s good to dream but those hopes need to be tempered as events unfold. There is a definite mystery to the future. You don’t know what is going to happen there. The picture below was generated using Artificial Intelligence. I don’t know how far in the future this will be?

Professional wrestling should never be restricted to one company. I also want to elevate the independent promotions who are providing local action in their communities. We should never diminish any athlete or the promotion they work for that wants to make the sport the best it can be.
