This morning we spent some time in my old hood of Signal Mountain. It is not far from where I live but my life today has me in the valley. We had brunch and then drove around on the streets I walked as a kid. Growing up on Signal helped shape me to be the person I am today. That community has changed but there is still shadows of a nerdy kid who lived in community by being a part of a great family, going to school, working for my grandfather, worshipping at Signal Mountain Baptist and supporting the institutions and businesses that made it a special place to be as a younger version of myself. Without it I would be a very different person but that could be said about anyone.

National Donut Day 2016
Today was a day to honor the donut. Eat donuts. Enjoy donuts. We went to a local place for some tasty rings of deliciousness. There was a lemon filled, maple bacon, Snickers, Fruity Pebbles, peanut butter-chocolate, key lime…to wash it down some 2% moo juice (milk). We honor the donut for how it powers the community and the world.

YABAR – Yet Another Blog About Reblogging
OK, perhaps I am just overreacting and making a mountain out of a mole hill about this reblogging thing.
Here are a couple of ground rules for my followers…
- DO NOT reblog personal posts that include family and other personal pictures.
- Ask for permission if there is something original I have written that sounds academic or poetic or something that could be used to advance my life and career.
- Other posts are OK including my music posts and other posts about current events, culture, etc.
Maybe that will eliminate unnecessary drama and angst on my part. I really wanna play well with others and perhaps have some of my stuff get the eyeballs and ears of others across the blogosphere.
