We touched down for our vacation four weeks ago at Orlando Sanford Airport. It’s hard to believe its been that long ago. This was an amazing time.

The Blessing of The Animals at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

This afternoon at church the annual Blessing of The Animals took place in honor of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. We took our dog Cody and he met other dogs and their people of the church. It was a great event and we all had fun and Cody was blessed and scored a few treats along the way. Fr. Rob did a great service with some help from the congregation assembled.

Feast of St Francis of Assisi in United States

Many churches in the United States celebrate the Feast of St Francis of Assisi on October 4 each year. The feast commemorates the life of St Francis, who was born in the 12th century and is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of animals and the environment. It is a popular day for pets to be “blessed”.

Europe: The Final Countdown

The 1980’s hair band Europe seems to be back in fashion. Their song “The Final Coundown” is featured in a series of commercials for the Geico Insurance company. Everything old is new again it seems. I remember this song from the fist time it was released back in 1986. This song takes me back to some good times in life.

Friendly To The Max

I can let my extroverted, overly friendly self get the best of me. Sometimes I feel like I am a bother but know I want to respect everyone. Perhaps we need more of this in the world, but would people be able to handle that much friendliness?
