Happy Anniversary Grandmom and Granddad! – A Special Throwback Thursday
Today is my grandparent’s 71st wedding anniversary. Today is also their first anniversary since my grandmother passed away last September. Polly and Leon were from a small town in Georgia, they moved around for his work in the Navy and in broadcasting. Eventually his work led them to my hometown where they raised 3 awesome girls.
My grandparents are awesome people who showed what love is to be about. My life has been better because of them. She helped raise me and taught me many lessons of life that I still use today.
I am grateful to have my grandfather still with us but I miss my grandmother very much. Some days I miss hearing her voice. We will celebrate the life they had together and the love they still share even though she lives in heaven now. They are both gifts from God.

Positivity, It’s Hard As Hell To Be That All The Time
I try to be a positive person in life but there is no way to be that all the time. What we see in the news can really bring you down. You can’t always ignore it either because your friends and your social network are talking about it. Then there are situations you experience in person which impact you in a profound way. Putting a smile on your face can be a challenge. All the bad news in the world can really bring you down and make you question life. Being a beacon of positivity can make one weary and tired. Maybe it’s OK to be a little vulnerable and to be negative every once and awhile. Its hard as hell sometimes and that is OK. Bah!
An Award I Didn’t Want, Nor Did I Deserve, I Think!
I am not the best at driving my Ford F-150 or parking it either. Today we went to Target to get some things after our Chiropractic appointment and I admittedly didn’t do the best job of parking but I was between two lines and wasn’t over the lines on the left or the right. Well when we went back to the truck to leave this was on the driver side door. All for me.
This person who put this on my truck had to tear it off a larger piece of paper and write it and put it on the driver side window of my truck. All of that to remind me I am not the best at parking my big truck. Sure I can take some criticism but this was uncalled for.
When you see stuff like this it can make you feel bad. It diminishes your faith in humanity. We can’t overlook the errors in a parking job nor can we overlook the imperfections in one another. I am not perfect but I really doubt I deserved this. Perhaps instead of tearing someone down maybe be silently angry and go on our way. Too many people have lost their lives due to rage and not taking time to decide if they should do this.
Bold Prediction About Blogging
Blogging will be around when Twitter and Facebook fade into memory, at least I hope so. Some folks have said blogging is dead or passe but I think its future is still very bright. I am glad to be along for the ride. Keep on blogging friends, we still have many stories to tell and things to share.
