Human Rights Day on December 10 remembers the day the General Assembly of the UN adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. It is the most translated document around the world and is available in over 500 languages. It has inspired countries and people alike to start treating every person with the right to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. On Human Rights Day we acknowledge the importance of this document and the importance of human rights.
Every human should have the right to live and love and exist in the way they see fit without infringing on the rights of others. We need to be reminded of this now more than ever as places around the world are seeking to deny personhood to people who are different from they are.
I try to be the best person I can be. As a highly sensitive person with accompanying self-esteem issues, I doubt myself a lot. Being a people pleaser makes me want the people in my life to be proud of me but I can’t do that without giving my heart and soul and body away. Also I am tired of doing the heavy lifting. I guess I just need to be a person who is valued for being who I am instead of being a person that is taken for granted for what he does for others. I hope this makes sense.
Doing a factory reset of one’s phone can be a pain. Yes, this is a first-world problem but still, it means synching things back up and downloading one’s apps again. The good thing about this is that it clears up any issues you might have been having and it can speed up performance on your phone. At bare minimum power cycle your phone once a week. Let’s hope I don’t have to do this again for a while.
