Blogging About Real Life

The best blogging is about the real-time stories that happen in your life. Reality provides loads of things to post about.

For me lately its about my father who is sick and under hospice care. This situation he is in was something no one expected, anticipated or was ready for. We don’t know how much time is left but we will spend quality time with him and caring for my mom too.

I feel like sharing my story of the love I have for him and the real-life suffering we are going through is important in that it might help you or someone you know. My dad is a wonderful man who I love deeply.

I welcome all who are joining me on this journey. Thank you for your concern and know that you my fellow bloggers are great!

Too Loud

Some things are too damn loud even when the volume is turned down. It rattles the ears and invades the senses. You have to change the channel or turn everything off for some peace and quiet. The world of everything is like this these days. Where’s my remote control or my smartphone?

Friday Lunch From A Food Truck

Pulled pork and macaroni and cheese from Home Away From Home Folks food truck. A nice lunch for a Friday.

Thank You!

Thank you all for your concern about my dad and my family. I don’t want your kindness to be unnoticed. We never anticipated or expected anything like this. Your support and love is appreciated deeply.

Nurses Rock!

Over the past 16 days we have witnessed the professionalism and hard work of so many outstanding health care professionals at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. Nurses, CNA’s, Med Tech’s and other related caregivers have done a great job of taking care of my dad. They provide hands-on healing and care for so many people who are sick. I am grateful for them getting my dad back home. Nursing and related fields is hard work but it’s a calling and for those who do it they are worthy of their noble title and deserve to be rewarded in so many ways. Nurses do indeed rock!

Update On My Dad 8/14/19

My Dad has returned home to be with my mom and his assisted living community. He is now under hospice care which is better than being in the hospital. He is doing as best he can under the circumstances. Seeing him struggle to do things makes my heart ache. We are all so very tired but its so worth it to take care of this amazing person we love so much.
