Daily Prompt: Instinct
Everything has some form of instinct. Something that is part of their nature that helps them decide what to do or where to go. What you have inside you helps you navigate all the things that life throws at you. Sometimes instincts are developed and trained but for many its just part of their DNA. Through learned wisdom and a gut feeling you are informed to do things that make sense to you. Animals seem to use instincts very well as a survival mechanism and humans to a lesser extent do the same. Having good instincts can help you make it through not only the day but throughout your life.
Instinct is the presence of a gut feeling or something like that.
Tunes Tuesday – Richard Marx – Don’t Mean Nothin’
When you are trying to make a living, there’s no such thing as pride is a lyric from this song and I find it comforting as of late. Richard Marx sings about a timeless truth when you are trying to live, love and even work.
I appreciate every opportunity I have had even though I have not always been successful. Failure means you are trying which is something I hope is honorable.
Something About Being Good Enough
Sometimes your best isn’t good enough in the grand scheme of things. You try and try and for some reason it doesn’t get things done. When the bar is set high you have to deal with expectations that are hard to reach. Being a human being you have your strengths and limitations and one outweighs the other. That is time when you realize you need to step back and realize what you can do vs. what you can’t do.
