Appreciation For Service to St. Peter’s

I have served on the vestry of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church for the past three years. The Vestry is the lay leadership team in the Episcopal Church. My service came at a time of personal loss and the Covid 19 pandemic. During that time, I was a part of a group of great people who served to keep things going and we did an excellent job.

For my service, I was gifted this chalice at our annual churchwide meeting. It’s nice to be recognized for doing things that help others, but I didn’t do it for that reason. Service is about so much more, it’s about being there when you get the call to help.

Transgender Day of Remembrance #TDOR #LGBTQ

Transgender people are beautiful human beings. They are living their truth on their terms. I remember those lost to the violence of ignorance and fear. To the trans community be safe and keep your guard up.

Walmart before any major holiday is a zoo I say. I’m being a good person I hope.

A Reminder To Be Thankful

This church sign comes courtesy of my former pastor Rev. Amy Cook. This is a reminder to be thankful for what we have and that we don’t need more to be thankful for. It’s all about gratitude and thanksgiving.

A Mental Health Friday

Every once in and a while everyone needs to take a mental health day. Resetting one’s mind and body can be beneficial. For me today was that day where I just needed to take a day to do other things than what they get paid for in their daily work. I was productive but I didn’t wear myself out. Having a 3-day weekend is always fun and makes you feel better when you return to your job.

I hope you all have had a good Friday. The weekend is now upon us and I am happy about that. Do something fun before next week’s holiday weekend has us all in a tizzy.

Quote Of The Day

There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.
