Sunday Reflection – Gathering
Gathering at a table with gladness, joy and thanksgiving is a wonderful thing. May those tables be big and welcoming to everyone. In these times we all need to feel we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. As we gather forgive as you are forgiven. Let us all feast on the food and drink that nourishes us richly in mind, body and spirit. Grace and peace to each of you my friends.

Rest In Power Philip
Today was the funeral of Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh at Windsor Castle in England. It was a very intimate service with the world looking in via TV. Only 30 people were in attendance due to COVID restrictions.
I have been to a couple of funerals during this time and they were small gatherings. It is noteworthy that this pandemic has impacted ritual ceremonies. Everything from worship services to weddings to funerals have been scaled back. Philips farewell is no exception. Philip could have filled St. Georges Chapel but safety has to come first.
This man who served his Queen his nation and the world will be missed. Was he perfect, no but no one is? I appreciate how dedicated he was to live a life that helped so many. His legacy will loom large. Rest in power, good sir.
A Note To Ontario, Canada
To all my friends in the great province of Ontario, Canada I hope you are getting on as best you can during this latest lockdown. I hope you can crush COVID soon and borders can reopen for your crazy neighbors to the south to come visit soon. You have lousy leadership from your premiere/governor among others that isn’t helping you any. Hang in there and you have my unwavering support. Peace to you all.
