International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th commemorating women’s fight for equality and liberation along with the women’s rights movement. On International Women’s Day focus is given to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.
I would like to honor all the women in my life who have made our family better and the world a better place. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you.
On this International Women’s Day I would like to recognize the first woman to hold the office of The Archbishop Of Canterbury, The Most Reverend and Right Honorable Sarah Mullally. She is the leader of the Anglican Communion that reaches world-wide including the Episcopal Church that I am part of. Women in the clergy do amazing work despite facing discrimination in some parts of the Christian community.
In the Christian tradition the Christmas season is a period beginning on Christmas Day (December 25). In some churches (e.g. the Anglican Communion) the season continues until the day before the Epiphany, which is celebrated either on January 6 or on the Sunday between January 2 and 8…From Wikipedia
