This is a beautiful place. It’s known by some as “Big Blue” but lately it suffers from “big blues”. Lots of mean things are happening here. Violence, unrest, suffering. Granted there are also good things happening but in the past few weeks we are reminded of how fragile the whole thing is. Good people we must strive to change things in a meaningful and profound way. Pray and work for peace. This place is worth it. Lord hear our prayer.
I am glad that blog posts can be edited. Often times you write something that looks good at first, but it looks all sorts of wrong later. Those errors can be a little embarrassing when you don’t catch them in time. It’s not the end of the world, but you know you want to not make a fool of yourself. Grace in the blogging community for mistakes is a very nice thing to have.
Life would be great if we could go back and correct mistakes we made just like a post. Writing is something I have been told I am good at but when I do it there are lots of little things including punctuation that have to be fixed. There are great writers out there who do amazing posts and I hope to be right up there with them.
Today we celebrated my dad’s birthday, which was actually yesterday. We took him to the Tennessee Aquarium’s IMAX theater in Chattanooga to see the fantastic IMAX movie “A Beautiful Planet” in 3D. It is a very moving film that takes place on the International Space Station. Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence narrates this story of how our planet is a wonderful but fragile place that is our home. The space station is a really cool place where important work is being done. Those who call the station home come from different places and when you are in space borders don’t matter much. Their work has a common goal of making the world a better place. One big point the movie makes is that our planet’s resources are being used at a very high rate and that threatens us all. Seeing the changes from above can change your perspective on your life.
We are to be crew members on planet Earth in taking care of each other. The notion that it’s every person for itself is wrong. You don’t get a free ride but you are responsible for one another and you have to care about the place you live before it is lost forever.
I change my themes more than some folks change their minds. Since I am using Instagram pictures on my blog again I found they display better across various platforms using the Twenty Fourteen theme. The widgets are in the same places you might have seen before. I like how much content you can display using this theme too. Thanks for putting up with the changes and remaining connected. Keep on blogging good people.
There are lots of people who have been there for me through the years. I don’t think I say thank you enough to them. Without their generosity and care my life would be very different. We all need to be extravagant with our thanks and gratitude to everyone who makes our lives better. Our lives are not meant to be spent on an island so we have to be in this life together. I can’t list everyone I need to thank, that would be a really big blog post but I just want to say thank you everyone, you know who you are. Once again, thanks!
