Today is Flag Day in Canada, and this year marks the anniversary of the Canadian Flag that was first flown above Parliament Hill in Ottawa in 1965. To Canadians everywhere and those who are Canadian at heart like me, it’s a special day. May this maple leaf symbol of freedom, strength, and sovereignty fly forever.

The 2015 Canadian federal election (formally the 42nd Canadian general election) will be held on October 19, 2015 to elect members to the House of Commons of Canada.
