Small Business Saturday

Today was Small Business Saturday, a day set aside to promote small businesses in the midst of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. American Express is championing this effort to help independent retailers have a big impact on the economy during the holiday shopping season. We did our part today to help the economy and to put some money into the til of some of our favorite businesses on the North Shore of Chattanooga.

The EPB Window Displays for 2015 in #Chattanooga

Each year our electric and fiber optic utility company sets up a window display for the holidays. They are different each year. This year’s ensemble features children having fun in various vignettes. Also there is a special display honoring the service of those in our community who have served in the military. There is a winter wonderland happening here.

Tired Of The Rain Already

It’s been raining here off and on for the last couple of days and I am ready for it to stop. Yes rain is necessary to replenish and nourish nature but I kind of hate getting wet. It’s Fall in North America but does it have to rainfall so much. Wow, let’s dry things up a little. But hey, our hydrangeas and grass are getting watered for free.

Today was Social Media Sunday in many church communities around the world. My contribution are a few pictures I took today at my church to commemorate the occasion. There is a great spirit at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Chattanooga and we are glad to be there.

Today was a good day at Finley Stadium Davenport Field as my hometown team won its game! A few years ago they would have beaten us handily, those days are over.
