Farewell Supergirl

Tonight is the series finale of the TV show “Supergirl” that has aired on The CW network. Melissa Benoist has led a really talented cast through six seasons of action, adventure, friendship, and family. I will miss this show because it gave a super role model for girls of all ages. It also advocated for acceptance and inclusion of all. Farewell Supergirl, you did well.

Tonight one of my favorite TV shows on The CW Network says its farewell as “Arrow” has its series finale. For eight seasons Stephen Amell played the title character of Oliver Queen who donned a mask and picked up a bow and arrow to bring justice to Star City. He was known as a vigilante but he along with his team displayed bravery, honor and loyalty to their city and one another. This series gave birth to other shows such as “Legends of Tomorrow” and “The Flash”. I will definitely miss this show but its legacy is solid and it will always be remembered.

Supergirl in Crisis In Infinite Earths

Crisis On Infinite Earths Coming Sunday To A TV Near You On @TheCW Network #CrisisOnInfiniteEarths

I am a big fan of TheCW Network’s DC superhero shows. Next week t they will have a 5-episode massive crossover event called “Crisis on Infinite Earths” featuring Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Black Lightning, Legends of Tomorrow and the show that started it all on the network Arrow. Joining along will be Superman in two forms and so many more heroes. I am so looking forward to this TV event because crossovers are a great way to have some big-time action and adventure.

We need heroes in reality and fiction to keep us going and to give us a sense of security and safety. Everyone needs rescuing sometimes in their lives and TV shows like this one reminds us of that.
