If you are a believer let your life be a testimony to the love and grace given to you by your creator/higher power. “When necessary use words” St. Francis of Assisi.

What I Believe
A fellow blogger challenged me on what I believe. The person said they believed in science, physics, that sort of thing. Basically taking the whole notion of a divinity out of the picture. Friends I have no problem with incorporating the sciences in with my faith in a higher power, in my case the God of the Trinity (Father, Son/Jesus, Holy Spirit). My policy is to not attack the beliefs of others unless it might be doing serious harm to them. If someone is adhering to a faith that encourages them to care for themselves and others then its pretty good.
I am of the persuasion that every person has the right to a belief system that makes sense to them. For me it comes from a background of being in Baptist and Methodist churches.
It’s my belief that Jesus has a lot to offer people although he has gotten some really bad representation from some of his followers. He has inspired people to build orphanages, hospitals, schools and other institutions that have made our world a better place. It is in those schools that scientific and medical advances have been made. Jesus followers still call him the great physician so there’s that.
To be up front with you my interpretation of faith is that God’s story is still being written and that people should be loved no matter their gender, orientation, economic situation, social standing, etc. Friends It’s not my style to bash people over the head with the Bible. Religion/spirituality is still a very personal thing with many people.
So if you ask me what I believe….this is pretty much it.
(BTW this ended at 284 words…I guess I can write long.)
Quote Of The Night
You don’t fix faith, it fixes you.

Getting Through A Dry Spell
I am in a bit of a dry spell at work…everyone goes through that. You work hard to break through to make things happen and it just doesn’t happen. My struggle the last couple of days is making quota in my job. You keep on going and no matter what you do its just not happening. Frustration begins to set in and you find yourself done. This is not a uncommon among people who work in a production environment.
Factors such as time of year, availability, life situations can impact everyone. One thing I learned years ago is that the more you throw mud at a tree the more will stick. It’s a take on you reap what you sow. Sowing requires hard work and dedication. A farmer preparing for rain means he has faith enough to plant for the future. Faith in different forms can also give some assurance in the future.
Getting through a dry spell isn’t easy. But with hard work, dedication, intelligence and a little faith you will be able to make it through. Don’t give up, don’t give in, do work hard, everything runs in a cycle. Yes the struggle is real but you are really going to make it.
In Advance of Mother’s Day – A Salute To Mary, The Mother of Jesus
In advance of Mother’s day I want to say how much I admire Mary the mother of Jesus. She was called upon to be the mother of a very important person by God. Her challenges with raising such a special person must have been daunting. She is in my opinion the greatest Jewish mother ever. As a young mother she was responsible for keeping Jesus in a safe, nurturing environment. She didn’t do it alone, she had Joseph was called upon to rise to the occasion of being Jesus’ dad. Mary is a venerated person in some Christian traditions and she is a inspirational figure.
Quote Of The Day
We all want progress, but if you’re on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.
CS Lewis
Fear
Fear is a powerful emotion. We all are afraid of something or another. There are times when we need to retreat from it. Fear can be crippling to some. Now there are times when we need to face our fears. Being fearless is a challenging thing because it requires a lot of bravery and willingness to try something new, something different. Comfort in the familiar means you can just chill out and not have to worry.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
No one wants their lives in chaos but to make our world better sometimes you have to get a little crazy. I have fears, we all have fears, if we say any different then we would be kidding ourselves. Be strong and courageous because its what you feel like you should do but if you are afraid then never be afraid to admit it.
I think fearless is having fears but jumping anyway. Taylor Swift
Face your fears with courage, strength, faith, love good people!
We need someone, somebody
Everyone needs someone to help them get through this life. Whether it be human or divine. Life is chaotic and we need to feel the calm and the cool and the peace that can get us through. We need a companion to keep us company.
