I work for Blood Assurance, a regional blood bank serving 5 states located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Today was a regular employee blood drive and I did my part and donated some red blood cells to help my neighbors. It’s always good to do this. It makes a difference. Today was Derby day and Always Dreaming won the run for the roses in Louisville, Kentucky at Churchill Downs.
Today is the annual “Run For The Roses” as horse racing’s finest come to Louisville, KY to compete in the greatest two minutes in sports. Each year my wife and I have a dish called Kentucky Hot Brown, drink mint julep iced tea and for desert derby pie. This is the only time of year we really care about horse racing. It’s a fun time to be together and to enjoy the spectacle on TV.
