Wednesday Wisdom: Resolving An Issue

Resolving conflicts means taking your issues to those who are causing the problem. Sometimes it requires others to get involved to mediate and help facilitate reconciliation. So much of what we see is airing of grievances in the public spaces that it causes a bigger problem than there should be. Resolving issues requires listening, communication, patience. Sometimes it means a separation or an agreement to disagree but that should only come as a last resort. Hopefully all things are done from a place of respect and dignity. What the world needs now is people coming together when possible.

Welcome September 2020

Welcome to September 2020. Let’s see what this month has for all of us. Soon the season of Fall in the Northern Hemisphere will be here and I can say I am ready for much cooler and less humid weather.

Have a great first day of the month good people.

I Am Mad As Hell #resist

Serious shit is going on and we need serious people to act. I am trying to be one of those persons.

Hurricanes, pandemic, racism, homophobia, homegrown terrorism, unemployment are dominating the headlines and it seems so very overwhelming. I am mad that there are some folks are not taking any of this seriously. This is a national and global community issue. We can also say there are people who are having a hard time paying rent, keeping the lights on and food in the pantry.

There is much pain to be felt and some aren’t even acknowledging anything is going on. I can honestly say things are not going in a positive direction and its OK to admit that. Being realistic is good if things are going to get better.

All I can say is that Donald Trump is a jackass who is empowered by evil. He does evil. He is not truly serious about leading. He just wants the title. Screw him. His supporters should repent for supporting him. He has to go for the worlds sake. He’s not for life he’s dealing in death and the evil of greed.

Right now I am righteously mad as hell and that is more than OK.

Hey There, It’s Friday. Raise A Ruckus!

It’s Friday good people and may you finish strong and raise a little ruckus in the process. Ruckus is a purely personal pursuit so whatever it looks like is A-OK!

Sunday Reflection: New Information #sundayreflection #sunday

It would be safe to say the world is complicated. Much like relationships you see on Facebook or Twitter. We don’t like complicated things much these days. Simplicity is much preferred.

To transition from the complicated to the simplified requires information. I will be the first to say that information can change things. I tend to be more black or white instead of shades of gray. We find new facts in those shades of gray. Life is fluid. We should be too. Our collective table can be expanded when we look at others from a new perspective.

The best people learn new things so that they can do new things and relate to others in a whole new way. The keyword here is new. We have old ways of assuming things but something comes along that makes sense and helps us grow. Being open to new things can make the world a better place for everyone.

Teachable moments are all around us if we are paying attention. Are you always right, I know I am not. Learning and growing means the world can change for the better.

Grace and peace to you all this upcoming week.
