A Different Easter, Celebrating Online In Community

This Easter morning was a different one. Instead of gathering at church for worship it was watching via YouTube. Many churches have celebrated in a similar way. For me it was good to have a shared experience with other believers who are doing the same. For many this is a time of life defeating death. Thanks to technology this is possible and it seems to have more meaning in this time of pandemic. My priest and the staff at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Chattanooga, TN have done great work in this new normal we are going through.

Holy Saturday Reflections

Tomorrow Christians celebrate an empty tomb and their houses of worship should be empty too. Jesus said to love thy neighbor and staying home is one of those ways you can do that.

May humanity, kindness, love, peace, inclusion, patience, peace, kindness, and acceptance be resurrected on Easter.

However you may or may-not celebrate Easter may it be a time when your family can come together and be whole and renewed. May you find your spirit reborn and that life has new meaning.

The Thing About: Patience

In this time of uncertainty, patience is a divine virtue. Have patience with yourself, with one another, with the circumstances we are in. Everyone is going through something and we all wish things were back to “normal”. It is my thought that we aren’t going back to “normal” but something else that will require us to have patience and a whole lot of grace for one another.

Who knows what things will look like on the other side. It will require patience and hopefully freedom from anxiety.

My friends, now is the time to be still, take care of self, have a little faith in something that will get you through. Remember to love one another and yourselves in this very difficult time.

Be Grateful in the New Normal

Be grateful that you have slowed down, and that life has more meaning these days. Even in these tough times, you have an opportunity to regain a part of you that was lost. May this new normal be long-lasting.

Masks On Good People For The Health Of Us All #Coronaviris

I’m doing my part to save lives and to help my family. Masks are important in the times we live in. Of course staying home is important. Be safe and well everyone.

April Fools Day CANCELLED

There is nothing foolish about what’s going on these days. Pranks need to be put aside. Let’s just chill out and not do this whole April Fools Day thing this year.
