Something About Disappointment

Disappointment is a part of life. Getting your hopes up can be problematic. When something you hoped for doesn’t come true, it hurts. The saving grace here is that time helps you get over things and offers needed perspective. Time can help you move on to other things to come and hopefully better.

The Digital Dust Has Settled

For the moment, I am done with renovations of my blog. I am using Twenty-Fourteen, which is an eleven-year old WordPress theme, to get the job done. It’s fun to take an old theme and soup it up with some current features to make it just work.

Some Funny Amazon Prime Packaging

I am a fan of smart and funny stuff. This Amazon Prime packaging has a very clever and very true slogan. Without someone ordering stuff, this package container is indeed empty on the inside. Well done Amazon package marketing and design team.

Daily writing prompt
Which activities make you lose track of time?

I tend to get tunnel-visioned when it comes to the things I am interested in. When I am focused on doing something that fascinates me, I do lose all track of time and perhaps space. So, my friends, let us all fire up WordPress or Tumblr if you will and create some new magic. Keep on blogging, good people.

That word to me is about community, responsibility, and discipleship. This word I think is about inclusion, or it should be. Parishioners are about worship to a higher power or God if you will. They are also about service to one another. Being a parishioner is also a calling. It is about abiding in God’s love and the call to the people who gather in divine presence.
