We are late to the Marvel TV series “Agatha All Along” but we are fixing that tonight by binge watching a few episodes. It’s spooky season so it seems like the right type of show to watch. Kathryn Hahn is a terrific actress and this role seems tailor made for her. “Agatha” is a spin off of sorts from “WandaVision” and it will be interesting to see how the two are alike and different. I will give my thoughts later.
We are watching the greatest movie ever about superheroes who just want to be a superhero or something like that. Deadpool and Wolverine is the feel-good indie art film we need right now. It’s full of delicious violence and language. This movie is truly a family-friendly tour de force.
You can stand tall without standing alone.
Valkyrie from “The Marvels’
The Guardians of The Galaxy is my favorite of the Marvel franchises. It’s about one’s chosen family and defeating bad guys who threaten the galaxy. This last edition of Guardians is a good end for this band of misfits from across the galaxy. There is a lot of change happening for the crew which leads to them coming to a crossroads.
It is a movie with a lot of surprises and heart-wrenching emotions centered around Rocket the Racoon and his origin story. It’s a dark movie with some levity that I always appreciate. Serious issues are also explored too. There is a lot of heroism that you will cheer for.
You need to see the prior two movies and “Thor Love and Thunder” perhaps to understand what is going on in this movie and how these characters came together. Throw in their Christmas Special on Disney Plus for some additional laughs.
I will say it’s best seen on a big screen with good sound. Don’t wait for it to come to home video and streaming.
So its time for another Avengers movie. More super heroes flying around trying to keep the world from breaking apart because of a really bad guy with lots of destructive tendencies. I enjoy these things sometimes and the stars assembled to make this franchise are people I like. So, tonight I am going to just enjoy this film and not think too hard about it. I am a geek so this is good stuff.
