Farewell Kenny Rogers, Thanks For The Hits Through The Years

Kenny Rogers is one of the greats of American music. His distinctive voice was welcomed in the country and pop music worlds. Kenny was friends with a who’s who of the music greats of his era such as Dolly Parton, The Bee Gees, Lionel Richie and more. I really like “The Gambler” because it told a great story of gambling and life. Rest in power Kenny, thanks for all the hits through the years.

Blue Oyster Cult – (Don’t Fear) The Reaper

Something tongue and cheek for the times in which we live these days. Not meant to make light of the situation. Needs more cowbell though.

Creatives Creating Creations Of Chaos

Creative people are a different sort of people. They have a spirit about them that is meant to change the world. With their work comes a responsibility to inspire others and make things better for everyone. Talented people are everywhere and it’s awesome to see them doing what they do. Unfortunately, many creatives have been censored and lost their lives for living their truth and answering the call of life. Some works have been deemed too radical, too scandalous, too revolutionary.

Art like beauty is in the eye of the beholder or in this case creator. The ability to change hearts and minds through art, music, literature, dance is truly powerful. I hope my blogging can do that in some small measure. The greatest thing we can do is to love one another and to inspire others to do the same through our gifts and talents. Everyone has a gift they can share.

Originals are nonconformists, people who not only have new ideas but take action to champion them. They are people who stand out and speak up. Originals drive creativity and change in the world. They’re the people you want to bet on.

Adam Grant

Being original is important. Anything new is worth exploring and if it doesn’t work out then try again. Any inventor will share their experience with you. Creativity is indeed a process and you want to get behind those who are doing it.

All-in-all let your light shine through whatever medium you have chosen to express yourself. Be brave and have fun shaking things up along the way. Don’t worry about causing chaos all the good people do it. Besides some everyone needs little shaking up.

Sunday Sound – Eminem – Lose Yourself

Eminem just slays this track. His sound is so good and the lyrics tell a pretty tough story.

Quote Of The Day

There’s a starman waiting in the sky
He’d like to come and meet us
But he thinks he’d blow our minds
There’s a starman waiting in the sky
He’s told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it’s all worthwhile

David Bowie from the song “Starman”

Rush – Tom Sawyer – In Memory of Neal Peart #nealpeart #peart #rush #canada

Neal Peart who was one of the greatest drummers ever to pick up sticks passed away on January 10, 2020. Peart along with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson made up the legendary Canadian rock band Rush. Peart’s play is other-worldly. His drums are silent and he will be very much missed. Rock on with the Saints good sir.
