From The BBC – World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76. He died peacefully at his home in Cambridge in the early hours of Wednesday, his family said. The British scientist was famed for his work with black holes and relativity, and wrote several popular science books including A Brief History of Time.

Stephen Hawking was a brilliant human being who devoted his life to physics and making the world a more informed and enlightened place. His work has influenced not only science but culture as well. He appeared in pop culture in the TV shows The Big Bang Theory, Red Dwarf and The Simpsons. Both Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch portrayed him in movies based on his life. He leaves behind three children. Thank you Stephen for what you did to make our world better and to expand our understanding of the universe that surrounds each of us. Rest in power.

It’s Tuesday Again, It’s Happy If You Want It To be…

It’s Tuesday and it’s another day to live, laugh and love. OK that’s enough positivity. Today will be happy if you want it to be. Let’s see how the day goes.

All I know is that I hope its better than Monday which work wise was pretty tough. I like making over half my daily goal by noontime. I am aiming for that today. Goals are good right? No matter what you are up to, have a great day everyone.

People of “Loose Morals”

The words slut, whore, bitch, ho and other expressions of people of “loose morals” seems to be in my experience aimed toward women. Perhaps as a way to shame or demean them. Of course there are men who could be called the equivalent names for the things they do.

Ones behavior and responsibility is a personal thing and perhaps we should give some grace to these people. However there are some folks whose actions can cause great damage to others and they need to be called on it but not by calling them names. Don’t cast stones.

It’s The Monday After The Time Change

The Monday after the time changes to Daylight Savings Time is always the roughest. Your body is not used to the fact you are up an hour earlier than you should be. Many people will be going into work bleary eyed and wishing they could go home for a nap. Getting your body in sync with the time takes a couple of days. In the mean time Coffee is going to be our friend today. So much coffee today that is replacing sleep.

Have a great day everyone. Stay alert no matter where you are.

The Need For Rest, Renewal

Most faith traditions call for some form of rest during the week. In my tradition it comes on Sunday. No matter what everyone needs a day or more of rest. Keeping the sabbath is important in order to keep balance in ones life. We live in a hyper-busy world where people are so over scheduled in their work and personal lives.

Everyone is afraid of missing something so they want to do everything. Saying no is hard but necessary. You can only do so many things in a week, month, year. Maybe our priorities need adjusting so our spirits can be recreated for making our lives better and those of others we love.

This is easier said than done. I have a problem with resting and relaxing. Realizing I cannot conquer the world is important to know. No one can conquer the world either.

Without rest and renewal we will find our lives to be very tough.

Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ‘Til your good is better and your better is best. St. Jerome
