In the 1980s, a group of young actors collectively known as the “Brat Pack” starred in movies about the lives of young adults of the era. Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, and Mare Winningham were icons of my generation.
Andrew McCarthy made a documentary film that is streaming on Hulu about the “Brat Pack” called “Brats” where he did interviews with some members of the group and others who were adjacent and could speak to the events of the day. McCarthy does a great job of connecting the dots culturally and historically of this special era in the movies.
If you are a member of Generation X then you must see this movie. It will give you feels and remind you of a great time in entertainment and history. Andrew McCarthy did a great job on this. I also recommend it to anyone interested in cultural pop history.
When needed, say the weird thing.
People focus on leadership but I think the world needs more servants. There is a lot of work to be done and when people desire to help out the world could be a better place. Of course, there is servant leadership but the servant part has to be the focus. Find out what you are enthusiastic about and then do that and hopefully, others will want to do the same. The key thing is to serve so that the world can be a better place.
