Air Conditioning, It’s Getting Serious!

I am a man of a certain size and I need air conditioning to make it day-to-day. Keeping cool is the rule. This heat and southern USA humidity is just awful. This is why Summer isn’t my fave. I am already ready for Fall.

It’s Monday, A New Week Begins

It’s time to start a new week. Let’s see what adventures we can have in the days ahead. Try to enjoy some coffee or tea this morning. Have a great day and week ahead good people.

My Take On The Public Ten Commandments

I am a believer. The 10 Commandments are important. They don’t belong in a classroom where people from all walks of life are there to learn and grow as people who will hopefully change the world. Imagine if the same effort to put them there was put into our public schools to make them places where children can get a quality education in a safe environment.

Also, some of those kids come to school hungry so being sure they are fed so they can perform as students who need to know stuff so they can get a good job one day. The 10 Commandments won’t make that happen.

Perhaps teaching religion at home or in a house of worship would be better. I’d rather see someone’s faith acted out in service rather than on the wall of a school classroom where other stuff should be.

It’s Monday Gang

It’s Monday again good people. May it be colorful and good for you. Have a great day everyone.

Brats – The Story Of The “Brat Pack”

In the 1980s, a group of young actors collectively known as the “Brat Pack” starred in movies about the lives of young adults of the era. Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, and Mare Winningham were icons of my generation.

Andrew McCarthy made a documentary film that is streaming on Hulu about the “Brat Pack” called “Brats” where he did interviews with some members of the group and others who were adjacent and could speak to the events of the day. McCarthy does a great job of connecting the dots culturally and historically of this special era in the movies.

If you are a member of Generation X then you must see this movie. It will give you feels and remind you of a great time in entertainment and history. Andrew McCarthy did a great job on this. I also recommend it to anyone interested in cultural pop history.
