Still Nerdy, Stay Nerdy

As a nerd grows older does, he/she will they still have the enthusiasm about the stuff they are interested in? This is a question I am wondering about. Right now, I am in my 50’s and I am still nerdy about a lot of stuff, and I suppose I have my church (there are loads of nerds there), friends, and the Internet to thank for that. I just hope I don’t lose that sense of curiosity and joy that comes along with being a different sort of dude who sees things from a vastly different lens.

Stay nerdy my friends. Stay nerdy. Be yourself. The world needs us

Life Does Happen

Life has a way of changing quickly. People find themselves in circumstances beyond their control. Everyday is a surprise and you gotta adapt or get left behind.

Your family and your occupation changes and that is always stressful. People lose people for various reasons and sadness is the rule of the day.

Hopefully we have people to walk the chaotic path of changes. The roads of life are never smooth and you need to watch your step.

Peace to you all.

Education For Ministry – Year Four #Episcopal #Anglican

Tonight, I begin the fourth and final year of my religious studies course Education for Ministry. I have surveyed the old and new testaments; church history and this year is theology. This promises to be my favorite year, but I know it will be challenging. This gets into the mechanics of faith, and I am ready for it.

The course is produced by The University of The South which is an Episcopal University in Sewanee, Tennessee. I have learned a lot studying with others and I am grateful for the experience.

Quote Of The Day

As long as you feel pain, you’re still alive. As long as you make mistakes, you’re still human. And as long as you keep trying, there’s still hope.

Changes On The Job

Every job has some changes that happen over time. You get hired, train and after a while forces outside your control (like COVID) means you must adapt and adjust. This is something I am experiencing as my work tasks include changing how I do customer service and recruitment.

I still enjoy what I do because of how important the mission of my organization is to the lives of thousands. I am just saying that every day has the potential to be completely brand new in how one is supposed to do their daily work.

Covid has changed the game for so many and we have a responsibility to learn new ways of living, working, and doing the best we can. This is where experience can pay off for both employee and employer.

Rolling with the punches is the rule of the times we live in. Every day is a new adventure. Be ready and do what you can.
