Perception isn’t always what is reality.

Christmas Day is 21 days away. It’s hard to believe, right? How close to being ready are you? I’ve done most of my shopping and I’m not stressing too much at the moment. Let’s have a jolly, holly time good people.
December 2023 is here and somehow it seems like yesterday it was January 2023. Time flies sometimes. Let’s hope for a good month of cheer and glad tidings. We must be mindful of people who are suffering in one way or another. Be good to one another in the days ahead. Love and peace to us all. Happy Holidays.
I just found out that a friend of mine from my childhood passed away in 2021. We were both connected on Facebook but I didn’t get word on my feed. Today was his birthday and I went to wish him a happy birthday and that clued me into the fact he was no longer with us.
First, I am sad he is gone. Sad for him and his family who miss him. I hate that I didn’t know he had passed. His absence from Facebook could have been any other thing than death. People take breaks and out of sight out of mind sort of thing. Don’t assume they are simply on a break.
Two ladies I was blogging friends with died, and after not seeing them for a while I became concerned. I didn’t know until I visited their pages to find out they had passed.
The moral of this story is to keep up with your friends. Facebook can be a tool to help with that but it isn’t always reliable. I need to keep up and others I hope will keep up with me. Connections and friendships are valuable don’t’ take them for granted.
