If your work requires “filling a bucket”, meaning you have a quota to make daily, can be a little daunting. The old metaphor of eating an elephant one bite at a time is helpful here. Break your task down into small increments, that way your task isn’t so big. This applies to anything in work or life. We often look at something in totality but if we take it in segments it works out better for us. Work smart, not hard I always say.

TV and Twitter
Have you ever watched a TV show just to see what people are saying about it on Twitter. Sometimes the comments are better than what you see on the screen. With this multi-screen entertainment environment we have going on it makes sense to have your device running twitter while you are tuned into your favorite show. The thing about it is that it works only when the show is live and bunches of people are commenting about it at the same time. Streaming DOES NOT offer this feel of communal viewing. I am old school like this and I like to see something live and on a big screen. I like the instant feedback that Twitter provides and it does influence people to continue watching something or just leaving it behind. So enjoy TV and Twitter at the same time.
Me A Influential Blogger, Naw!
I got listed on someones Influential Blogger’s list on Twitter and that made me think am I that influential? This is just a simple blog of a fairly dorky person who rambles on about stuff happening in his life. There is really nothing awe inspiring about the posts you see here. Tony is a simple person with ideas in his head that sometimes make sense. Just saying.
My Take On The Whole Starbucks Red Cup Controversy
What bothers me about the whole Starbucks cup thing is that it’s just a cup of coffee, that costs more than some people have in their names at this moment. Perhaps Christians, me included should give 5 bucks to a food bank so that those without things like food can eat a meal or more. Maybe everyone should give up Starbucks for a week and give what they would spend there to those in need. Let’s get real and understand that the war on Christmas, is really those observing it not understanding the meaning is about a Savior who would show the world to be better and to love venti.
There are way other things going on in the world to be angry about. Just saying.

When Your Good News Isn’t Good For Someone Else
Telling someone some news that they weren’t hoping to hear can be a challenge. It’s like tearing a bandaid off your skin, sometimes it just good to get it over with. Making choices and decisions in life can mean disappointing people you love, but ultimately it’s your life and you have one shot at it. Life can be full of surprises that can make you happy and sad at the same time. Receiving news you weren’t expecting can break your heart or lift you up. In the case where you love someone you are sharing something they didn’t want to hear it can be difficult but you have to trust things will be alright in the end.
When you love your family and friends you want to share the good and bad things in your life. Sometimes good things in your life will mean not very good for others so then it gets tough. One needs to remember that it’s your life and you can’t live it for anyone else. When you are married, attached, committed to someone then there is an added dimension to your situation you have to abide by the fact you are not alone and its joint decision that needs to be made. You just hope for peace and understanding through it all and perhaps reconciliation when needed.
