It’s Left-Handers Day Around The World – Blaugust – #LeftHandersDay

International Left-Handers Day is an international day observed annually on August 13 to celebrate the uniqueness and differences of left-handed individuals. Being left-handed can be difficult in a world designed primarily by right-handed humans. Studies suggest that approximately 10% of people are left-handed.

I am proud to say that I am very left-handed. Special people are born blessed with this gift. Many remarkable people are left-handed such as my Missus, Prince William, Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, Barack Obama, Eminem, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Buzz Aldrin, Lebron James, Jon Stewart, Babe Ruth, and Morgan Freeman are all terrific southpaws.

To all my left-handed friends, we are truly in our right minds. Have a great left-handers day to all the good people who observe.

Daily writing prompt
Where did your name come from?

My full name is Anthony Leon Burgess and here is how my parents named me.

Anthony – comes from my maternal great-grandfather’s last name it was my grandmother’s maiden name too.

Leon – is my maternal grandfather’s middle name, the name he went by his whole life.

Burgess – is my last name as you can figure out.

Names can be like trademarks. I like this combination. However, everyone knows me as Tony, a nickname derived from Anthony. Tony in my mind is the greatest name for a mafia kingpin.
