Thought Of The Day 11202023

I am an eternal idealist. I am also getting older so you would think those two things would be battling it out in my heart and soul. Reality is important but sometimes it gives birth to cynicism and darkness. I still think it’s healthy to dream.

One thing that gets me is when there are serious things on Facebook and there happens to be some smiley face that diminishes the importance of it all. I hope I never get to the point where my moody self stops having sympathy, empathy, and the desire to understand.

I hope I can still have that sense of wonder.

Thought Of The Day 11162023

Some people don’t understand because they don’t want to understand. Just ask people who are persecuted for living their truth in whatever that looks like and they will tell you what that means.

Thought Of The Day 10/16/2023

Everyone has a right to comment on stuff. However, there seems to be a set of people who are so negative and hateful in their comments. It’s like they have nothing positive to say. It throws water and sucks the joy out of being online.

There is something to be said for child-like, geeky enthusiasm. I just hope it’s never extinguished by people who don’t have the same joy in life.

Thought Of The Day – Fresh Air

Fresh air is good for everyone, it’s also a metaphor. Everyone including me needs it to keep cool and refresh the mind. Also it’s something the senses needs.

Thought Of The Day – Political Bullies

I am tired of bullies getting elected. Please can we stop putting them in power? Donald Trump, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Bobert, and their ilk have no business in leadership. They don’t make America great they make the country look really bad.

Thought Of The Day – Republicans, They Can’t Lead

Right now Republicans are incompetent and incapable of leadership as long as they bow down to Donald Trump and his base. They are not serious people who want to do what is best for the country. It’s frustrating to know that they are making America a horrible place to be in.

Both Democrats and Republicans have a responsibility to do government and governing. They almost put the United States in peril because they couldn’t pass a spending bill due to infighting. Putting people before a political party is vital.

Law and order should mean something here. Accountability is something Republicans used to believe in. Honoring the military with more than just lip service is important.

I do miss the Republicans of my childhood. Where did they go? I don’t mind some fiscal conservatism as long as it’s not harmful to those on the fringes.

Once again I’m going on record as saying that I hate Donald Trump for what he has done to good people in this country.
